Pictorial Works
In this section a chronological partition into decades has been preferred, so that it is possible to follow the evolution in the research and expressive intents of the artist, from the first experiments that have been retrieved, dating back to the 40s and 50s – portraits, mostly made up or carried out by memory, realized on raw cardboard boxes with colours derived from herbs, soot, animal blood, often with the collage technique – to the brighter figures of the 60s and 70s – where he starts using tempera and oil paint – up to the bestiary scenes in big size, on plywood, from the 80s.
In the thematic areas dedicated to the artist Pietro Ghizzardi’s figurative works his production has been archived following both a methodological and chronological partition.
