Exactly forty years after the first publication in the prestigious series of Struzzi Einaudi, „Mi richordo anchora“ will finally be republished.

The autobiography, winner of the Viareggio Literary Award Debut Novel in the category of fiction in 1977, is republished by Quodlibet, in the series Compagnia Extra, directed by Ermanno Cavazzoni and Jean Talon, with a text analysis / a commentary to the text and an introduction by the editors of the first edition, Gustavo Marchesi and Giovanni Negri, as well as an introductory note by Cesare Zavattini and a new preface by Alfredo Gianolio.

On Saturday 19th November at 5pm the work will be presented in a national premiere in the Hall of the Old Portico of Guastalla’s Ducal Gonzaga Palace, thanks to the cooperation and helpfulness / assets of the Guastalla’s Department of Culture and the Maldotti Library, to the presence of editor Jean Talon, Alfredo Gianolio and Gino Ruozzi, director of the city library institution, and Valter Rosa.

This new edition is born thanks to the willingness of the House Museum „Pietro Ghizzardi“ to shed new light on Ghizzardi’s literary work, which has been out of print for many years and long-awaited by collectors, enthusiasts and bibliophiles. It has finally found the attention and care of Quodlibet, a publishing house of national cultural relevance, specialized in essays, philosophy, literature and art.

The insertion of „Mi richordo anchora“ into the catalogue of Quodlibet Compagnia Extra is yet another confirmation, after its Einaudi debut, of the historical and literary importance of Ghizzardi’s autobiography.

Update: In 2017 the new edition of “Mi richordo anchora” was presented also at the Panizzi Library in Reggio Emilia, at the Feltrinelli Bookstore in Parma, at the Modo Infoshop Bookstore in Bologna, at the City Library in Cattolica (Rimini), at the museum Galleria del Premio Suzzara in Mantua, at the Corraini in Piccolo Bookstore (Cloister Nina Vinchi in Milan’s Piccolo Teatro) and to the young readers of the middle and high schools at Boretto’s City Library as part of Maggio dei Libri 2017.
