Pietro Ghizzardi’s literary adventure in a podcast

The artist and author of Mi richordo anchora is, together with Clelia Marchi – a farmer woman from Mantua and author of the well-known diary-sheet kept at the Archivio Diaristico Nazionale in Pieve Santo Stefano – the topic of a special episode of the literary podcast Mis(S)conosciute – Scrittrici tra parentesi , which is realized for the cultural audio platform Pillow Talk Platform, curated by the work group of the Matèria Gallery of Contemporary Art in Rome.
This episode talks about and brings to light the parallelism between the spontaneous writings – uneducated but of indisputable literary quality – by Ghizzardi and Marchi. It also contains some unpublished readings from “Mi richordo anchora” performed by Ghizzardi himself and kept at the Historical Archive Pietro Ghizzardi in Boretto (Reggio Emilia, Italy).
A small treat: you will recognize Lucia Ghizzardi‘s voice in the readings from “Il tuo nome sulla neve” by Clelia Marchi, in a sort of symbolic cross-over between the literary and biographical events of the Boretto painter and the female farmer from Poggio Rusco (Mantua).
The episode of Mis(S)conosciute dedicated to Pietro Ghizzardi and Clelia Marchi is available in Italian language for free on the main podcast platforms (Spreaker, Spotify, Apple Podcast, tcc.) or at this link.
